The Guardian Foundation Mentoring Program is currently only open to sworn Law Enforcement Officers who are committed to making an even greater positive impact in their communities.  Our goal is to match Officers (mentors) with at-risk children (mentees) in the communities where they work and live.  Our program follows a community based model that would allow mentors and mentees to meet and interact on a one-on-one basis in the environments in which they live and are comfortable in.   Mentors are responsible for being a role model, an extension of the mentee’s support system, and most importantly a friend to children needing a little extra attention.  Interactions could range from grabbing lunch, playing sports together, helping with homework, engaging in community service activities together, or attending a sporting event.
